Having SO MUCH FUN reviewing Meters times for Guitarmagedon this Friday night at @talentclublive! @l.nocentelli’s influence on my playing is undeniable, and I am so grateful for the amazing art he and the meters have given to the world. Still having a BALL developing the minor triad chord scale system🤓. One more little share, then I’ll do other things, Lol. So here is Misty, melody is harmonized using my new system. 100% minor triads, except V7 in a minor key, or altered dominants. So fun! It works:-). Just gotta put the right triad in the wrong place. Thank you @irealproapp for the backing track:-). I didn’t like the tempo of my Jamie Abersold.

Nerd Nugget Mini Lesson. Enclosures!! This concept has come up a couple of times recently with students. So I thought it’d be fun to share with you all:-) Start this idea by approaching each note of a chord from 1/2 step below. Then approach each chord tone from a scale degree above. Then combine! 1/2 step below, diatonic above. That’s an enclosure! Try it out:-). And if you are interested in any lessons, hit me up! I’ve been having a ball teaching when I’m not on tour. YAY TEAM!!

I figured out the way to get my cat to drink water is to hide water cups around the house. Behind plants and what not. He likes to find it! So glad I figured this out. He’s an old guy and was really not doing great staying hydrated. I did a little poking around about this and read that cats instinctively don’t like to drink water near their food!? Makes sense, in the wild eating their prey might make the water nearby a little um, messy? Not a music related post, but he’s pretty cute.

1 minute to share something a little different about my tour rig. I’ve been using UAFX modeling pedals in conjunction with an (all tube) Anderson amp on the road and it works great!

I’ve been touring with vintage fender amps as long as I have been touring, and the “Dream” pedal was what got me intrigued. I started using it while making demos in the studio and it was working out great!! So I thought I’d try it on the road, and it’s been working.

When engaged, each pedal bypasses the preamp, going straight to the tube power amp, and out through the speakers. When not engaged, my amp functions like it normally would.

I generally stick with one amp for a song, using my effects pedal board to change sounds mid song.

The units in the effects loop work perfectly with all the amp models including my Anderson. 🤯

The Anderson sounds great and is really built well, it is an incredibly robust road amp.

Anyway, thought it’d be fun to share.
